Heavy little bit

Heavy little bit

Spectacularly ordinary
Just floating around
alone
on a summer day
Hot and cold in my pool
as I socialize with solitude
I look up to the sky
as the wind flows like silk
over goosebumps on my skin
Birds are chirping
and flying just like floating
There is silence
in all the sound
I close my eyes
and I see everything
in the darkness all around
I feel something
in all the nothing
The clouds smell so clean here
on the ground
A monumental sort of magic
must have made
the moment
I lived today
I try to leave some behind
and I take with me
just a heavy little bit

More Dandelion Art

Still inspired by my lifelong love of dandelions, I have been making new dandelion pieces since my last post. I am surprised to be so satisfied with the petals being left attached—as seen in the 1st photo below. There were supposed to be 3 gifts for 3 people. But, after seeing them together, I just can’t separate the trio. So, I reckon I have more to do.

Still here. Still making art. Still writing. Still requiring creativity. Hope you all are staying inspired, too. -Z

Dandelion art

Happy 2021! Lots to be grateful for. I am going to be brief and just post a couple mediocre photos of two of the framed dandelions I recently completed as Christmas gifts. The dandelions came from the yard and I was surprised I didn’t have a harder time with the process. Dandelions have always been so delightful to me. I hope your new year is delightful and everything you wish for… I saved you a wish! xo Z
